Loves their Arc Haul Zip: the zip gives rapid access for photography, it is light enough for day hikes too and carries several pounds of camera gear well.

Bought the Arc Haul Zip for back ventilation and weight; in Yosemite their BV500 would not fit horizontally inside and fell off the top a couple of times.
Has had an Arc Haul Zip 60 for nine years, three of them very heavy use; carried 36 lb with nine days of food and a large bear barrel for 240 miles on and near the JMT in 2017 with no damage or leaks. Says the common failure they saw on trail was where the frame tensioner attaches, on overloaded packs.
Has a Zpacks Arc Haul Zip; the outer mesh pocket on their previous bag got torn up, but it is seam sealed and more waterproof, with a removable frame and belt.
Uses the vest straps on their Arc Haul Zip and likes the carry, but it traps a lot of heat on the chest, better for shoulder season and winter than mid-summer.
