After about a dozen nights they haven't been happy with their Altaplex: the footprint is huge and tough to stake in the PNW, it's very wide, and it doesn't pitch as easily as they'd like.

Loves their Altaplex; setup takes about 60 seconds, and the only annoyance is the trekking pole extension.
Used the Altaplex for a long time before switching to a GG Whisper at 6'4".
Finds their Altaplex vastly overrated for space: steep sides make it cramped, they often wake with a wet quilt footbox, and condensation is massive.
Loves their Altaplex, which has more usable headroom than a Duplex for them at 6'3 on a long wide NeoAir XLite.
Their Altaplex was a key purchase in shedding ten pounds, and it has held up surprisingly well on almost exclusively off-trail desert hiking among lots of pointy things.
Went from a Duplex to an Altaplex and is stubbornly happy: it took a few nights to make the room work, they like the single door and weight savings, but dislike setting it up and the bathtub often lands off target.
Used an Altaplex for almost 10 years before swapping to an X-Mid Pro, which they find much roomier at almost the same weight.
“I used the Altaplex for almost 10 years, and recently swapped it for the X-mid Pro. The X-mid is MUCH roomier even though it's almost exactly the same weight EXCEPT that the Altaplex requires”
Their Altaplex has not developed any holes.
Has used the regular Altaplex since 2019 and put thousands of miles and hundreds of nights on it.
Has owned an Altaplex for almost four years and had it in some stronger winds and rain with no problem.
Really likes their Altaplex as their go-to solo tent in good weather, though it gets worse-than-average condensation in humid climates.
Sold their Altaplex after an AT thru-hike: at 6'1" they barely fit and often woke with a damp footbox, and the pitch is finicky.
Loves their Altaplex but agrees a good pitch is hard when the site won't cooperate; a rain skirt keeps the footbox drier.
Owns an Altaplex and is really happy with the purchase, though they have not yet used it in heavy winds.
Their Altaplex developed a small hole about 4 to 6 inches below the peak, which they patched with DCF on both sides.
