Uses the SummerLite for spring and fall high-desert trips and an AlpinLite for summer alpine trips. Was borderline too cold in the SummerLite on a windy canyon rim near Escalante in early March in a tarp tent, so would not take it for winter desert trips.

“TBH, I have been borderline too cold in the SummerLite on an early March trip to Escalante/Glen Canyon on a windy canyon rim. I was also in a tarp tent, so didn't have ideal wind protection.”

Has owned the SummerLite for 15+ years and calls it a real 32°F bag at 19 oz that became their go-to three-season bag. Has since moved mostly to quilts and wonders whether a modern version has better materials.

“I've been very impressed with the WM summerlite over the years. It is a real 32F bag @19oz that ended up being a go to 3 season bag for me.”

Was comfortable all night in the SummerLite in the central Cascades at around 30–32°F, wearing Alpha sleep layers and down booties on an R6.9 pad. With more layers they would take it to mid-20s forecasts, and say it packs smaller than a football.

“Just came back from the central cascades, temps must've bottomed out at 30-32F where I camped and with alpha sleeping layers I was comfy with the summerlite all night long.”
