Owns an AstraLite and finds it great and really warm for its one-pound weight. The strap system is fine but nothing special, and the sizing is confusing: at 5'10" they just fit the 5'8" size. Later adds it was good around 28°F on an XLite with a fleece, as a colder-than-average sleeper.

“I've got an Astralite. It's great. Really warm for the weight (one pound flat!). Strap system is good, nothing special I guess. Their sizing is a little confusing”

Bought the AstraLite in 2022 for the colder CDT and owns a Katabatic Palisade too; finds the four-degree difference in their ratings about right. Still picks the Palisade for trips without freezing temperatures because it snugs better and its fabrics feel a little better.

“But I bought the Astralite in 2022 for the CDT bc it’s a colder trail. Plus, it saved an ounce or something? I’d say the four degrees difference in their ratings is accurate enough.”

Is 6 ft and loves their regular-size AstraLite at about 500 g, especially the design of its draft collar.

Loves their AstraLite and fits it fine at 5'11". Brings the straps on most trips because they are needed when cowboy camping in a breeze, and as a slightly cold sleeper on a 7R pad has used it comfortably into the upper 30s °F and uncomfortably into the upper 20s.

“I bring the straps on most trips, but I also like to cowboy camp, and I think they're necessary if it's breezy. I've used it comfortably into the upper 30s and uncomfortably into the upper 20s”

A warm sleeper and big fan of the AstraLite who has used it comfortably down to the low 20s °F, crediting its efficient cut for how warm it is for the weight.
