Really liked using the Gatewood Cape with a short Therm-a-Rest pad, and plans a wide short pad because a thin pad leaves more room at the foot end.

Is 6'2" and uses the Gatewood Cape as their default shelter and rain gear; sleeping slightly fetal on very thin pads leaves room to stretch and re-curl. Advises practising the pitch several times and notes many lighter inner-net options.
Owns a Gatewood Cape and at 6 ft found it a challenge to make work before switching to hammocks; thinks it is awkwardly small for most users and wishes SMD made an XL version.
A full-time poncho user who finds the Gatewood Cape awesome and, at 6'2" as a back sleeper, finds the space inside good. Only pitches it when rain is likely, otherwise sleeping in a bivy or cowboy camping.
