Found their Granite Gear Blaze 60 less comfortable than a Kakwa 55 above 14 kg, and its shoulder harness made a squeak they could never get rid of.
“I also had the Granite Gear Blaze 60, found it to be not as comfortable when carrying over 14 kg and it is squeaky! The shoulder harness on that pack attached near the waist”
Has used the Blaze for weekend trips in a true Colorado winter and for Rainier with glacier gear; it carried about 45 lb at its heaviest and did well.
On its first six-day Montana trip their new Blaze 60 carried 45 lb with excellent comfort and they liked the suspension, organization and features, but the pack's durability after that one trip was disappointing.
Regularly carries their Blaze 60 with 45 to 50 lb of camera gear and has had no wear issues.
Has used their Blaze 60 for three years without any durability issues.
Bought the Blaze 60 as their first pack and finds it comfortable, highly adjustable and tough enough for harsh environments; they love removing the hip belt to wear it alone on day hikes and still reach for it on longer solo trips.
Has the Blaze 60 and loves it; stripped down, it is everything they need and nothing they don't.
Loves their Blaze: it is comfortable even with heavy loads, has lots of adjustment points, and its water bottle pockets beat Osprey's.
Has a Blaze 60 and bought the women's version for their girlfriend; after three trips they have had no issues and find it really comfortable and easy to use.
Has been very happy with their Blaze; it is not much heavier and can comfortably carry 50 lb when needed.
Sold their Blaze 60 because it was uncomfortable: the adjustable hip belt bent under load and the pack slid down unless the belt was painfully tight, and it weighed more than its specs.
Loves their Blaze 60 but also has the hip belt slipping issue.
Bought the Blaze 60 as the lightest pack that takes a heavy load (up to 50 lb) and loved it on a winter backpacking trip in Scotland, though with lighter loads there are better options.
